The former Food Town on Route 37 in Toms River has been vacant for several years, but now we are getting word that the site has a new tenant that will be taking over this prime piece of real estate here in Toms River.

According to app.com, "Restaurant Depot has received the OK it needs to move into the long-vacant Foodtown store on Route 37. Several months ago, the members-only, cash-and-carry wholesale supplier to restaurants, caterers, and food businesses filed plans with the Toms River Planning Board to open a warehouse store at the Toms River Center shopping center on Route 37 at Route 166."

This will be Restaurant Depot's first business location in Ocean County. The company has 10 other locations here in the Garden State.

Ever wonder where many restaurants get their supplies? Restaurant Depot is a big warehouse store where restaurants, caterers, and food trucks can stock up on food, drinks, and kitchen essentials in bulk. It's basically a one-stop shop that helps food businesses keep their shelves stocked and their customers happy.

No word on when the Toms River location will be opening, but it's great news to see a new tenant in this location, which has been dark for quite a while.
